32 - 34 RICHMOND ROAD

‘I first noticed Richmond Road when I was dropping my son off to school. It was made up of 3 separate lots which included old stables being used for storage, army surplus shop and a post office previously a bakery.

The design was always going to be challenging as 2 sides of the site were flanked by the 5-7 storey walls of the grade 2 listed bingo hall. During the period of design some of the national developers were building large apartment blocks in the area which in our opinion were very faceless. We feel the design we came up with was a great contrast to the monolithic building next door.’
